Houston is the biggest city in the state of Texas with over two million people living in it. If you are one of this two million people, then you must be probably aware that Houston is driving for a greener life by its different Houston recycling services. There are many services that surround the city and as a citizen, you must be aware of these things. One of the most common services offered by the Solid Waste Management Department of Houston is the garbage collection at the curbsides of different districts. It is the job of the garbage collector to collect your garbage for recycling purposes by means of the of Curbside Recycling or Automated recycling programs, but it is your job and responsibility to take care of your trash and make sure that you throw them in the right containers.
Just your simple way to throwing your can of beverage at the wrong garbage container can already increase the number of garbage that are not going to be recycled. The Houston recycle programs recycle different types of trash and you must be aware of them. Start by being aware of what kinds of trash you can throw for recycling at your curbside trash container. Most of these containers have lids with the list of materials for recycling printed on them. Most common trash is papers of all kinds, glass bottles, plastics and many others. Be responsible in your own home as well. Sort your garbage by having a trash disposal system in your house. It will be easier to throw trash by the end of the week. Help your city help you by being responsible with your waste disposal.
